Terms and Conditions

All reservations are subject to availability and confirmation by Garden Route Game Lodge. A booking is only confirmed once you have received written confirmation and the required deposit has been received.

A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking. The balance is due 14 days prior to arrival. For bookings made within 14 days of arrival, full payment is required at the time of booking.

Cancellations must be made in writing via email to our reservations team.

• Cancellations more than 14 days before arrival: Full refund of deposit
• Cancellations 7-14 days before arrival: 50% of deposit forfeited
• Cancellations less than 7 days before arrival: Full deposit forfeited
• No-shows: Full booking amount forfeited

We strongly recommend that guests take out comprehensive travel insurance to cover cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances.

Check-in time is from 14:00. Check-out time is 10:00. Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request and is subject to availability and additional charges.

Children of all ages are welcome at Garden Route Game Lodge. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Children's rates and family accommodation options are available.

Game drives and other activities are subject to weather conditions and wildlife movement. The lodge reserves the right to modify or cancel activities due to safety concerns or adverse weather conditions. Sightings of specific animals cannot be guaranteed.

Guests participate in game drives and activities at their own risk. Guests must follow all instructions given by guides and lodge staff for their safety.

Garden Route Game Lodge accepts no liability for loss, damage, or injury to guests or their property during their stay, except where such loss, damage, or injury is caused by the negligence of the lodge or its employees.

Guests are advised to secure their valuables in the in-room safe. The lodge is not responsible for items left in rooms or common areas.

Guests are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful manner towards other guests, staff, and wildlife. The lodge reserves the right to refuse service or ask guests to leave if their behaviour is deemed inappropriate or disruptive.

Personal photography is encouraged during your stay. However, commercial photography or filming requires prior written permission from the lodge management.

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.

Garden Route Game Lodge reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website.
